The Access to Information Unit (A. T. I. U.) has been established to spearhead and guide the implementation and administration of the Access to Information Act, which was passed in June 2002. The Tribunal established under Section 32 of the Access to Information Act met on October 10, 2005 and October 11, 2005 to consider the above Appeals and heard submissions from the Legal Representatives of the respective parties.

The Appellant in all three cases, Mrs. Susan Goffe, was present throughout all the proceedings.

 
GUIDELINES... UNDER THE ATI ACT
These Guidelines are for the general guidance of Access to Information personnel engaged in the administration of the Access to Information Act.

They contain recommended best practices and procedures and were formulated and refined based on the invaluable input and recommendations of Ministry Personnel, in particular our Records/Information Management Practitioners, broad based research on best practices information available from other Commonwealth Jurisdictions and the provisions of the Access to Information Regulations.
